The Norsk Institutt for Bioøkonomi (Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research) (NIBIO) and Ecological Aquaculture, LLC (EA) have signed an agreement that establishes a strategic partnership to advance scientific and educational project activities in Norway and worldwide. The agreement was made to increase knowledge for the sustainable development of the blue bioeconomy with an emphasis on circular bioeconomies of ocean and land bioresources, and the innovative connections between them, societies, and accelerated climate change. The agreement was signed in Bodø, Norway by Dr. Johan Johansen, the NIBIO Head of Research and Head, Department of Biomarine Resource Valorisation, Division of Food Production and Society, and Dr. Barry Costa-Pierce, President/Chief Executive Officer and Chief Scientific Officer of EA.
